Carmen Sofia Sanchez, 84, went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2018. Carmen was born on July 24, 1933 in Yauco, Puerto Rico to the parents of Ramon and Elisa Cedeno. She grew up in a family of 12 siblings who depended on and looked up to her.
Carmen married the love of her life, the late Herminio Sanchez on June 24, 1955. Beloved mother of Herminio Jr. (Evelyn), Americo “Mickey”, and Carmen Elisa (Cesar). Cherished grandmother of Melissa (Matthew), Migdalia (Tawfic), Yajaira (Ismael), Margarita, Marianna, Cesar, and Hector, as well as great grandmother to Parker, Isabella, Liam, Emily, Basel and Ruth. Fond aunt of many.
Visitation Friday, 3:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd. (at Northwest Highway) Mt. Prospect.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, 10:00 A.M. at Northwest Assembly of God, 900 N. Wolf Rd., Mt. Prospect.
Interment at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery, 8600 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles.
